I had to restart my computer the other day and was logged out of all the pages I normally view. I went to log in to Facebook, but my password was an old one. Yep. It was a couple of weeks old from the last time I had to log in and change my password that was kept in my browser. Well, next thing you know, I had to go through some of their little steps to “protect” me and my account. First, there was a special number sent to my email. Then another special number sent to my phone. After entering these numbers and seeing the site come up, before I was able to use the site I had to answer the question in a little box that asked me, “Is that you?” After answering the question, I got another question: “Are you sure it’s you?” How ridiculous is that?

I’m tired. Yes, dog tired. I don’t want to open my phone with my fingerprint which doesn’t usually work, nor do I want to get into sites on the internet the same way.

I don’t want to open an account just to buy something.

I don’t want to download another app to my phone or computer.

I don’t want any more of those queer little codes that you have to scan just to see some information that used to be posted on a poster.

I don’t want to give out my email every time I buy something.

I’m tired of all the security protecting us, security that gets more and more complicated all the time, security the government and large companies have go-arounds for, security that can still be hacked.

I don’t want to be on camera and identified by facial recognition nor do I want my car license plate and every dent and scratch to be logged for future use by law enforcement and who knows who else.

I don’t want to be surveilled in public places by tons of cameras that are there to keep me safe but will not result in sending help fast enough to prevent me being robbed and murdered.

I don’t want data centers to store all of this information about me and others, data centers that suck up all the water and power, data centers that poison the land and water all around.

I’m tired of having a government that doesn’t do what the people want but continues, despite strong resistance, to do what some billionaires who think they are better than regular citizens want.

I don’t want the government to refuse to submit important documents or submit them so redacted they are useless.

And I don’t want to be blamed for screwing up the earth because I drive my car to work or the market or because I use toilet paper to wipe my ass while big corporations get off with dumping tons of crap on the land, in the air, and the water every day.

This is all horse patooey!

What I do want is accountability. I want the child molesters and traffickers arrested and tried. I want those responsible for crimes against the US including lying in front of Congress or the courts to be charged. I want those poisoning us through our food supply and our air and water to be held accountable, arrested and charged for their crimes. I want more people to get their heads out of their asses and see that we are not being kept safe from harm but we are being raised like animals on a farm.

I want everyone to understand that I don’t like being constantly tracked because I plan to commit a crime. I just want control over who I invite into my life, over who I share myself and my information with.
