There’s a war going on! But where are the trenches? Who is in the trenches and who just thinks they are? Who even knows what this war is about?
This war is spiritual, psychological, economic and it’s a war against us, the people. Our opponents are the fabulously rich oligarchs who insist on controlling everything. Many people don’t realize there is a war going on and so they avoid the trenches while they work at their jobs and consume memes, sports, music, games, alcohol, and a countless number of intoxicants that keep them busy and out of action. The rest of us are fighting the system being imposed on us from the trenches.
A reference to being in the “trenches” used to mean someone in those trenches was on the front lines of a conflict. You were in a hole, sometimes a muddy hole, waiting for the enemy to come. Sometimes it was too cold and sometimes it was too hot. It was never a comfortable place to be, but it was better than being out in the open where bullets would cut you down.
Today, the trenches feature more comfort. Snacks are handy, so is something to drink. You take a lot of shots, but none are fatal and you can always turn it all off, go to bed, and rest while your profile suffers the damage as you sleep. You don’t feel the sting of ripped emotions until you wake up and turn it all on again.
Your weapons are memes and videos or articles from the fonts of wisdom that you follow. They are stinging comments you leave on a post while the choir sings its support for you and the unwashed and unenlightened either go ballistic or take flight leaving you to survey the hilltop you have won. You do this all day stopping only for necessities. You post, tag, comment and despite the fierceness of your attack, the enemy grows even larger.
I want to be clear. I’m not posting this to bring about despair or a mas exodus from the internet. It has its place in the battle. What I am saying is that if you are like the keyboard warrior described above, you are right where the enemy wants you to be: a controlled environment that is constantly collecting and storing information on you and your activities. All the while you are posting and smiling about sticking it to the oligarchs, the oligarchs are laughing knowing that your message’s reach will be small and if it is too out of bounds, will just be censored. The bottom line is we have seen and read enough to know who the enemy is, the tactics they use and so on. We need action, not to view another video or read another essay.
If you really want to punch up at those who control us, leave them. They want your undivided attention, but if you leave them, they won’t have it. This will make them nervous. You are out of their control.
You can go further than just making them nervous. Every time you use cash, you just punched the Epstein Class in the face. Maybe it was a little punch, but it was still a punch. Celebrate it in public like a linebacker that just sacked the QB. If you spend the money in a local store owned and operated by a local person, celebrate again. You just delivered another punch.
Celebrate each time you harvest something you grew to eat, whether it be from a window box or a full-sized garden. Food you can’t grow, get from a farmer’s market or direct from a farmer and celebrate another blow.
Each time you resist buying something you don’t need-celebrate!
Each time you smile, pray, sing or dance-celebrate!
Each time you talk with a neighbor or repurpose something such as using an old T-shirt for a rag instead of reaching for the paper towels–celebrate another punch in the face of the Epstein Class.
Celebrate with joy, because those who seek to control us don’t like joy. You don’t have to make a big deal of it, but you need to do it even if it is just a brief mental notice of the accomplishment. Billions of dollars and decades of research into human psychology have produced propaganda and conditioning by our media that has put us where we are. We need to undo that. We need to fight with joy, because we have been conditioned to believe that we can only fight with fear, hate, and weapons of destruction. That conditioning can be broken, but we need to keep battering down the walls. We need to affirm our blows until we do it automatically.
I’m sure some of you are saying, “Yeah, my little bang against the Epstein Class is worth nothing.” That’s not true. There are millions out there who are in this fight with you. Economically, if each of you cost the Epstein Class $1 a day that’s $365 for each of you and $365 million if a million of us participate. Now we have a sizeable sum but there are more than a million fighting, and our joyful participation in this fight will make a difference. The costs to the controllers will be in the billions. If we personally celebrate each little strike, it will make a difference in our emotional and physical perspective, helping to break down that wall constructed to keep us from seeing the beauty in our lives. Not only that, but joy and laughter are contagious. They can even get through an N-95. There is no vaccine that will stop them. Your joy will cause others to experience the same emotion.
But wait! Where does Joshua come in? Well, Joshua fought the battle of Jerico. The walls were thought to be impervious. Many had tried to breach them, and all had failed. Then came Joshua and his army. They didn’t attack the walls directly. They marched around the walls, stomping in unison and blowing their battle horns. The vibrations from the noise attacked the foundation of the walls. Little by little, they weakened until they crumbled and fell. By following the strategy I have outlined above, you will join me in attacking the foundation of the Epstein Class—wealth and control. By taking away from their wealth and rejecting their control, you are hitting them with blows that will weaken and eventually take down their walls.
Don’t forget to celebrate each time you punch up, even if it’s just a little “yay!” you say to yourself. This builds your psychological resistance to their attempts to control you. It will take a while to tear down the walls, but it took a long time to build them.
